This song was born out of an incredible experience last week at A Plain Account's Wesleyan Songwriting Summit. I finished writing it last Saturday and am releasing the Live Studio Recording literally less than a week later—that has never happened to me before. The lyrics and music came together over three days of inspiration during this gathering of like-minded artists and worship leaders at the Wesleyan Songwriting Summit at Olivet Nazarene University.

The Heart Behind "Whatever You Do (to the Least of These)"
This song is inspired directly by Matthew 25:40. The lyrics reflect the call to love and serve those who are often overlooked, marginalized, and forgotten. From the hungry to the imprisoned, from neighbors to enemies, the song emphasizes that when we serve others, we are serving Christ Himself.
Chorus: Whatever you do to the least of these,
You do it unto me.
When you serve the broken, the poor, the lost,
You're serving Christ your King.
This message is more relevant now than ever, and my hope is that it will inspire listeners to see the face of Christ in everyone they encounter, regardless of their background or circumstance.
