Rich Mullins - Thunder - A Reflection On His Passing 24 Years Ago
We lost Rich 24 years ago today.
On September 19th, 1997 we lost an amazing artist. Rich Mullins is one of those people I never met but who impacted me more over the years after his passing than in the years when he lived on earth. The legacy he left behind shaped me as an writer, a minister, and as a person who seeks after God. As I understand it now, Thunder is a song that Rich wrote in college and was rewritten by co-writers Lowell Alexander and Phil Naish after his passing. I had the honor of releasing it in 2019. Here’s to you Rich. Thanks for your legacy of pushing us all to “Be God’s”. I can’t wait to meet you at the renewal of all things when Christ returns.
Blessings,
Rick Lee James
